Irena Sendler

Have you heard the name, Irena Sendler ?
Irena was a Polish mother in Warsaw, Poland during the early years of WWII. She quietly worked as an administrator for the soup kitchens.  For two years she smuggled Jewish children out of Poland, changed their names and linked them up with other brave people who were to see they would be cared for and reunited with their parents after the war.  She kept the names of these children recorded on cigarette papers and buried in a jar in her friend’s back yard.  She was caught by the German Gestapo and imprisoned.  Her captors tortured her and broke both of her legs and ankles trying to extract information from her she refused to give.  She was sentenced to death by firing squad but at the last moment was secretly rescued by a German officer and sent away.  It wasn’t until 1999, over 50 years later, that her story was discovered and made public. Records show that she rescued more than 2,500 children.
Irena never thought of her self as a hero, just someone who did what she should in a time of need.
There are some that quietly go about sharing the financial needs of BBN radio.  They have caught a glimpse of what it means to invest in the lives of people they have never known and will never see this side of heaven.  But their gifts, be they small or large, are used of God to get the Word of God to millions around the world on radio, on the internet, and by our online Bible Institutes in 8 languages.  Perhaps few know of their giving, but He who keeps the eternal records will one day make all things known and will openly reward the faithful ones.
Irena Sendler was asked of her heroic deeds and she humbly replied: “I could have done more. This regret will follow me to my death."

Me?

Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love:

Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:

You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:

You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

Here is the analysis:

  1. You've got great self-confidence and you're full of charm. Most guys who get to know you will be attracted to you. You are far from sweet and proper; your intriguing personality fascinates them. Most guys find it easy to fall for a girl like you.
  2. You really care about other people's feelings and are quite serious about the issues that affect your life. You are sincere, and your concern for the well-being of others makes many people want to be your friend.
  3. You are a bright, cheerful and bubbly person. You are thoughtful and considerate, and like to have fun. Everybody feels comfortable around you because of your pleasant nature. When you walk into a room, people's eyes are likely to be drawn to you because of your charm.
  4. Guys see you as being a thinker and a careful person. They will be really attracted to this quality in you, but you need to learn to speak your mind, otherwise people will find you too shy and quiet. Learn to relax and lighten up--it's okay to have fun sometimes. When you learn to develop your fun-loving side, guys are going to flock to your side.
  5. Your boyfriend believes that you are a strong and independent person. Your confidence and cheerfulness make you an attractive person to be around, but sometimes you need to pay more attention to what other people, including your boyfriend, are thinking.

Your Working Style

You have a great deal of warmth, but may not show it until you know a person well. You keep your warm side inside, like a fur-lined coat. You are very faithful to duties and obligations related to ideas or people you care about. You take a very personal approach to life, judging everything by your inner ideals and personal values.

You stick to your ideals with passionate conviction. Although your inner loyalties and ideals govern your lives, you find these hard to talk about. Your deepest feelings are seldom expressed; your inner tenderness is masked by a quiet reserve.

In everyday matters you are tolerant, open-minded, understanding, flexible, and adaptable. But if your inner loyalties are threatened, you will not give an inch. Except for your work's sake, you have little wish to impress or dominate. The people you prize the most are those who take the time to understand your values and the goals you are working toward.

Your main interest lies in seeing the possibilities beyond what is present, obvious, or known. You are twice as good when working at a job that you believe in, since your feeling adds energy to your efforts. You see the needs of the moment and try to meet them. You want your work to contribute to something that matters to you--human understanding, happiness, or health. You want to have a purpose beyond your paycheck, no matter how big the check. You are perfectionists whenever you care deeply about something.

You are curious about new ideas and tend to have insight and long-range vision. You are interested in books and language and are likely to have a gift of expression; with talent you may be excellent writers. You can be ingenious and persuasive on the subject of your enthusiasms, which are quiet but deep-rooted. You are often attracted to counseling, teaching, literature, art, science, or psychology.

The problem for you is that you may feel such a contrast between your inner ideals and your actual accomplishments that you may burden yourself with a sense of inadequacy. This can happen even when, objectively, you are being as effecive as others. It is important for you to find practical ways to express your ideals; otherwise you will keep dreaming of the impossible and accomplish very little. If you find no actions to express your ideal, you can become overly sensitive and vulnerable, with dwindling confidence in life and in yourself.

天堂的杂货店/Heaven’s Grocery Store

As I was walking down life’s highway many years ago,I came upon a sign that read: “Heaven’s Grocery Store”.
When I got a little closer, the doors swung open wide.
And when I came to myself,I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels; they were standing everywhere.
One handed me a basket and said,“My child, shop with care.”
Everything a human needed was in that grocery store.
And what you could not carry you could come back for more.
First I got some Patience; Love was in that same row.
Further down was Understanding, you need that everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of Wisdom and Faith a bag or two.
And Charity,of course,I would need some of that too.
I couldn’t miss the Holy Ghost; it was all over the place.
And then some Strength and Courage to help me run the race.
My basket was getting full, but I remembered I needed Grace,
And then I chose Salvation for Salvation was for free,I tried to get enough of that to do for you and me.
Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill,For I thought I had everything to do the Master’s will.
As I went up the aisle,I saw Prayer and put that in,For I knew when I stepped outside,I would run into sin.
Peace and Joy were plentiful, the last things on the shelf.
Song and Praise were hanging near,so I just helped myself.
Then I said to the angel,“ Now,how much to I owe?”
He smiled and said,“Just take them everywhere you go.”
  Again I asked,“Really now,how much do I owe?”
“My child,” he said,“Jesus paid your bill a long time ago.”

Blessings that I can count each day~

I can help
I can speak
I can believe
I can give love
I can be caring
I can keep silent
I can give support
I can talk with God
I can read His word
I can want courage
I can ask questions
I can seek answers
I can grow each day
I can search for hope
I can live in conviction
I can care about others
I can confess before God
I can live one day at a time
I can put my energy to use
I can share the Bread of Life
I can be devout in my beliefs
I can seek spiritual abundance
I can comfort those in distress
I can look into life as everlasting
I can see the love of God at work
I can turn to the Light in darkness
I can accept Christ into my heart and life
I can give compassion when someone is hurting
I can use failure instead of letting failure use me
I can embrace faith as the secret ingredient of life
I can obey the Love of God that propels me upward
I can weep in sadness and rejoice in times of celebration.
I can enlighten others about the goodness and grace of life
I can see into the eternal hope for eternal fun through Christ
I can turn a time of depression into a time of counting my blessings

Stive for it!

Are we slaves? To ourselves?
For we do not notice anything, which is almost everything.
Our life, that we always strive.
For better or worst,
Living with God comes first.

Endures...

Rejoice!
His greatness endures;
His love lasts forever;
His faithfulness alives, in our lives.
Shine for God, you musn't forgot.
Live a life of light, bear your burdens light.
His greatness proves, we should always improve.
Be as smooth as butter, as we progress better.
